Select Security is in the midst of unveiling our newest product, one that is destined to change the landscape of the personal emergency device marketplace. We've chosen the name 'SelectCompanion', because that's what it is: it's a way for you to carry the protection of Select Security with you 24/7, regardless of your location. Help is truly only a button push away with the SelectCompanion.

I'm sure you've seen the commercials with the old woman saying "Help, I've fallen and I.... yada yada yada." Senior citizens, and those who wanted an extra level of protection, have relied on personal emergency response systems (PERS) for years. Intially these systems were great, they allowed people to live in their homes longer. But the older PERS worked by using home phone lines, which are becoming rare to find and restricted the use of the devices to a small radius, generally in the home.

This is why we are so excited to unveil the SelectCompanion. This small device is made to be worn as a watch or pendant, and operates using cellular signals and GPS tracking. You can go to the mall, the beach, or for a walk in the woods, and as long as you have the slightest cell signal, your Companion will be there if you run into trouble. And with the integrated GPS, our monitoring center will be able to check you location, allowing us to send help to you faster. In addition, each Companion has built-in 2-way voice, meaning you'll be able to talk to us, and we can talk directly with you.
